Posted: Mon Sep 03, 2007 4:17 am Post subject: New Berenguer Kits - Available Now! |
|
|
The new berenguer kits will be coming The beginning of December.
I've purchased a dozen of each kit so I will have these for members at a club discount price of $25. Non members can purchase them at the retail price of $30. Shipping will be at 1 to 2 pounds, as the soft touch vinyl will be little heavier than the regular dolls were.
Berenguer is making the heads smooth. Open eye'd kits will not have eyes, but they are including soft bodies and cable ties with the kits.
I'm working on a new reborning book to go along with the kits and it will include soft body patterns of my own designs to work with them. Claudette and Judy have helped reborn the prototypes and their work will be featured in the reborning book as well.
Both Doll Kits and the Kits Reborning Books can be purchased on this webpage link.
http://www.rebornartistry.com/content_SM.htm
All my books are also available here for non-members
www.lulu.com/jeannine
Shipping will be immediate for all KITS IN STOCK!!!
HUGS. Jeannine

Hey, I wonder which size would be best for a elly knoops luca soft vinyl head. Lot of folks use the berenguer limbs for luca, and these new soft ones would be great. |

Since Luca comes in different sizes, the answer is IT DEPENDS...
I was hoping that the Yawning face would be a kit this year, but it looks like it will be a 2008 edition, it has the full limbs for 20 to 22 inch dolls.
The LaBaby heads will be 3/4 limbs, so will probably make also 20 to 22 inche dolls and be more softer looking.
The preemie limbs will be for 16 to 18 inch dolls, but have the nice lifelike grooves.
and the expressions doll is for a 16 to 18 inch dolls and has the great expressions look on the bent limbs style.

At first the Berenguer kits had molded hair lines. Then there were to be done without molded hair lines. I just read in a newsletter that some of the berenguer doll kits will still have the molded hair lines....here is what I received in an email...
( Jeannine, I ordered a Sleeping Rosebud kit from you. I hope she has no molded hair lines )
Doll Kits coming Nov.
They just told me that 3 of these kits, will still have the molded hair on the heads.
We were told before they would all be re-designed.
So PLEASE Take Note
of this if you want a plain bald head with no molded grooves in the head.
They have redesigned some kits to have the smooth bald head and left other designs with the molded head.
It will tell you in my descriptions if the head is redesigned or if it has the molded hair look.

I ordered two dozen of each kits so As soon as I get them I will let you know the scoop for sure to let you know which have the molds and which without..
Of course I think for $25/kit of soft touch vinyl is still a great deal, with or without the lines.

HI..yes I think that is really a great price..I wish I did not have so many berenguers to do..I would get some. At least there is no paint removal...which I will be doing for hours...but I have 7 se berenguers and about 15 dolls..several rosebuds, happy face, mary face, 2 discontinued carry me berenguers and some older ones..gosh might be more than 15...so please don't let me buy a kit right now...I am so tempted..lol..

Sure, once I have them here and know how much it costs for them to ship to me, I'll know more of how much I have to work with. Between paypal costs, shipping costs, and that these are lower priced kits, it doesn't leave much to work with.
email me next Saturday at jeannine@holper.ws
THANKS. Jeannine |

Hi All,
The KITS ARE FINALLY HERE....
Good news is that 101, 103, 104, 108 all have rounded heads.
The not so good news is that 105 (michael/mary), 106 and 107 preemies still have the hair lines. However with the head all one color, it is not very noticeable and shouldn't cause you much issues when rooting normally. If you are doing a balder head or micro rooting thinnly, then you will want to shave down the lines.
re. for Shipping.
1 doll international if $24 (UK) to 26 (australia) dollars.
2 dolls is around $34.00
US Shipping will be $8.00 US and $12.00 for 2 dolls.
Holiday Hugs. Jeannine |

I know they are very much fun. I've completed two sets of limbs to go with the heads we did for the books. I think the body is alittle small, but I have patterns for replacement bodies on www.lulu.com/jeannine it is pattern number 10.
Here are the pictures. Claudette, I did the Gouache with the gum arabic and the matte sealant all mixed together, so I didn't have to do a sealing after. It turned out great...
I love the chubby little limbs. LOL
Hugs to all. Jeannine

I mixed 1 part gum arabic with 1 part sealant.
Mixing with the paint is just to get it to the thinness you need.

Depends on how many kits.
Around $18 for first class or $28 for priority mail. Shipping is so expensive these days. A kit weighs in at 2 pounds shipping. |

Hi Jeannine:
I am confused. If I click on the link to order one of the dolls, it indicates that the price is $30 for members. How do you order at the $25 dollar price or is that offer over?
BTW, I did the happy faced baby (108) and I have to say, she makes me smile every time I see her. I wasn't sure she would be so cute but she is! |

| Yes, when the kits retailed at $30, the club price was $25. But they raised the kit prices and now the kits retail at $40, so now the club price is $30. |

I think I only have one or two DK108s left.
they are abotu 18inches with body, but you can always make a larger body if you wanted him or her alittle longer.
Shipping to canada I'm not sure. but will adjust (either refund or send a request) if different from whatever is on the website.
I'll still sell for $25 to club member.s |

Thanks Jeannine, I'll take one, are they the soft vinyl or the harder kits. Either way is alright with me. Do you have a doe suede or flannel body I can buy for her too? Send me a PayPal invoice please.
